 Is the accident rate in your business unacceptably high? It was for Sodexo, a leading provider of food and facilities management services for thousands of clients across the UK and Ireland.

Too many costly accidents?

Last year, the team in Sodexo’s Corporate Services division decided to launch a drive to bring the accident numbers down – and asked for our help with health and safety training. 

The challenge was to produce simple, clear guides that met the needs of people from all educational and cultural backgrounds.

Our solution was a series of booklets that got the message across with fun images and minimal text.

The principal causes of accidents and injuries were slips, trips and falls, and manual handling, followed by cuts, and then burns. So we produced the booklets in that order. Further to their success, another three titles were produced covering food safety, accident reporting, and safe driving.

The result has been a significant drop in accidents, financial savings for Sodexo and – perhaps most importantly – safer workplaces.
